Our Pregnancy Announcement Photoshoot

I have been a Mom for 3 months now and I can’t even begin to describe what an incredible feeling it is to be one to a beautiful and such a blessing Baby Girl. It has its hard moments (especially at 2am!), but it’s all so worth it! There was a lot of emotions involved (of course), and some physical and mental strain as I approached my due date. I want to share with you my journey and how better than to start with our pregnancy announcement photoshoot?

After I found out I was pregnant, I did everything to contain my excitement. I was really scared of maybe jinxing the fact that I was pregnant and then miscarrying since it had happened before (I’ll share that story with you soon). A few days after finding out I was pregnant, I had a few confirmations that everything would be alright. Those confirmations brought me a lot of peace throughout my pregnancy. I knew with all my heart that I was going to give birth to a healthy child close to my due date and not prematurely.

Slowly we started sharing our exciting news. We shared with our families, then our closest friends, then co-workers. When I was 2 months pregnant we decided it was a good time to share with the rest of the world. Of course that meant to do a photoshoot!

My brother-in-law is a photographer. He took our engagement photos, our wedding photos, so many family photos, and now a Pregnancy Announcement. Deciding what kind of photos I wanted to take was actually harder than I thought it would be. Thank God for Pinterest though!

There were a lot of ideas to go through. Some being more towards the gender reveal rather than just a “Hey! I’m Pregnant!” kind of reveal. Other than sharing these photos with you because I loved them; the other reason I want to share them is to help you come up with ideas for your announcement too. I hope they help! And I hope you enjoy our photos as much as we enjoyed taking them!

Quick fyi: I was very nauseous during this time of my pregnancy. If you do feel nauseous, set up with whoever is taking your photos a time of the day that you usually feel your best. Some people have a hard time feeling good at any time of the day, but don’t forget that if that’s your case, keep pushing through! You’re going to make it! It sucks, but I promise it’s all worth it in the end. Also don’t forget to consult your OB about nausea. Vitamin B6 was something that worked for me. Mention it to your doctor, maybe it can work for you.

I am not a doctor nor specialist. Please consult your doctor before trying anything I’ve recommended. Just because it worked for me, it does not mean it can work for you!
